Digital Access & Civic Engagement
The name of the event I went to is TLC Digital Access and Civic Engagement. TLC stands for Technology learning collaborative and took place at the Free Library of Philadelphia Heim Center on November 1st, 2019. A this event I learned a multitude of things such as how an increase in access to justice can be done through civiv technology, how one can use digital tools to develop communities in the adult ELL as well as the mission statement of TLC Philly and what they aspire to do. I believe this activity relates to my course work and career goals because it brings me in the direction of where I want to be after graduation and also makes me aware of different tech organizations that I could possibly work with or connect with in the future.
