Risk Advisory Services – Attest Associate
Grant Thornton LLP is the world’s sixth largest professional services network of accounting and consulting firms. The Advisory Services department focuses on developing and implementing the right controls to mitigate risk, or advancing companys’ finances and technology infrastructure to match their aspirations. I will be working in the Philadelphia office as an attest advisory associate. This means I will be working with clients to abide by certain IT regulatory provisions. Being an MIS major helped prepare me for this position immensely. Understanding certain criteria within IT in which businesses should comply is an invaluable and transferable skill. I can accurately make suggestions and recommendations to companies based on what I previously learned in my MIS classes such as ‘Enterprise IT Architecture’ and ‘Data Centric Application Development’.
