JTE Multimedia is seeking a web development intern for the fall; the ideal candidate will have experience with PHP, MySQL and XML. Exposure to ePub and related formats is preferred, but not essential; familiarity with Drupal and some basic system administration skills would also be of help. As the economy shows signs of recovery, many companies are scheduled to attend the September 23rd Fox Senior Reception. As CSPD liaisons, you will help communicate this and other important information to your SPO members – your role is vital to your members’ professional development.
Researchers, professors, administrators and even governors have been debating higher education’s academic calendar since at least the middle of the last century. The argument often boils down to efficiency versus flexibility, with the semester traditionalists pointing toward costs, while the trimester — or even quarter — champions espouse the freedom, variety and intensive atmosphere in a shortened cycle.
