Main Campus Program Board (MCPB) is Temple University’s #1 Event Planning Organization; completely student ran. We plan major events during Welcome Week, Homecoming, as well as many other fun events on and off campus throughout the semester.


I have been a part of MCPB since my freshman year.  I started off as a very active member in my freshman year to running for the Executive Board.  In December 2015, I was elected Director of On-Campus Events.  I loved the board so much and got to see how every aspect of the organization works, that I ran for the board again.  I was elected Director of Marketing and this past year, I learned so much from the position. This organization will always hold a special place in my heart.

I created and upheld the appearance of Temple University’s Main Campus Program Board via multiple social media platforms, such as Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.  I marketed 10+ events and the overall organization by managing various social media platforms and devising marketing strategies aligned to connect with Temple University’s student body.  Additionally, I had the opportunity to train and reached out to 10+ other university students to help them become student leaders.  I also implemented a new initiative, MCPB Ambassadors, which allowed interested students to obtain a behind the scenes understanding of the organization.

We also broke our second World Record!  We broke the Guinness World Record for the most pairs of socks donated in eight hours.  Watch the montage video of the groundbreaking night, here!

 

On-Campus Events Director
December 2015 – December 2016
I Prepared and carried out diverse events for Temple University’s main campus with budgets of $40,000 per event, as well as managed an overall budget of $750,000 for events for Temple University’s students. In planning events, I worked with outside vendors and companies to bring attractions to the university. Including Ferris Wheels, Food trucks, and Inflatable attractions. For each of my events, I handled contracts, certificates of insurance, and invoices for high-risk events. Additionally, I had the opportunity to train and interact with other university students to help them become student leaders.

We also broke our first World Record ever!  We smashed the Guinness World Record for the number of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made in one hour!  Watch our montage video of the amazing day here!
