Director of Marketing

I am currently the Director of Marketing for Temple University’s Main Campus Program Board.

Within this position, I create and maintain the appearance of the Program Board to the University community. I accomplish this through marketing our 10+ events per semester via several communication channels. The Director of Marketing position allows me the opportunity to be a leader to other students. Additionally, I plan pop-up, promotional, events that emphasize the value of the organization to Temple University community. Outside of events promotion, I also oversee the organization’s membership recruitment and retention initiatives.

I manage multiple social media platforms, such as Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube as an outlet to promote both the organization as a whole and all of our events. With these social media platforms, I conduct social media analytics to identify what marketing methods are most effective when reaching our student body and the surrounding community. I also oversee research on the student body, in terms of what events, giveaways, event feedback, general organization feedback, artists, and speakers students want to see on campus. I devise marketing strategies that align best with each individual event in order to increase attendance at said events.

Aside from all the behind the scenes work, I also have the opportunity to plan very specific and generalized events, for Temple’s entire student body.  As Marketing Director, I am tasked with creating events that both promote the organization and our most upcoming event.

One of the best perks of this position is that the role allows me to be a leader and resource to the student body, my committee and organization ambassadors.  I am able to lead a committee of 10+ students who are interested in the position, as well as, ambassadors.  Last semester, I was able to start an ambassador program for the organization: MCPB Ambassadors.  I lead the ambassadors in tasks that help fulfill the marketing requirements of the organization and show them the ‘behind the scenes’ to the organization.

This is a very rewarding position, from all the things I learn to the benefits I receive.
