Biography of Barbara Dolhansky
Barbara Dolhansky is the Associate Vice President for Application Development and Support in Computer Services at Temple University. In this role, Barbara provides leadership and strategic planning in enterprise systems, which includes ERP, business intelligence, portal, mobile and identity management solutions. She has expertise in large-scale system implementations and migrations and most recently led the multiyear, multimillion-dollar deployment of Banner, the university’s ERP system. Prior to joining Temple University, she worked in various system implementation and software development roles in health care, government, and private industry.
Barbara has over 20 of years’ experience in higher education and serves on a variety of university committees that address broad academic and administrative needs such as the Accessible Technology Compliance Committee and the Middle States Accreditation Committee. She has a keen interest in grooming and mentoring future leaders and has helped develop components of Temple University’s Leadership Academy, a yearlong program to mentor and develop rising leaders.
Currently, Barbara is an Adjunct Professor in Management Information Systems. She has also been an adjunct faculty member in Temple University’s Computer and Information Sciences department and in the College of Liberal Arts’ Master of Liberal Arts program. She is a board member of the Pennsylvania Banner Users Group and member of Educause, whose mission “is to advance higher education through the use of information technology.” She has presented at various regional and national conferences speaking on information technology and leadership issues. Barbara received Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leader Award in 2007.
