“Caitlyn is always willing to take on the unknown. She seizes opportunities to innovate and improve herself and the team. … She looks at how we do business through a different lens and asks questions that some are afraid to ask. She is willing to throw away conventions and create new ways of working.” – Clay Farnsley, 2012 Performance Review

Originally from the midwest in Minnetonka, MN I graduated from Harriton High School in Rosemont, PA where I participated in the International Baccalaureate program. I currently work at iBusiness Technologies as the Director of Business Development. Previously, a Business Specialist for Apple, Inc. I was selected for a corporate career experience at Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, CA where I acted as Global Retail Market Support on a national, occasionally international, level. I chose my degree in management of information systems to deepen my knowledge of information technology and its business applications.

Caitlyn, your resume is extremely impressive and you seem to be very set on what you want to do with MIS. I think it’s even more impressive that you’ve already gotten much hands on experience in your field of study, which is something not many people can say they have done. Also, it’s cool that we went to the same high school!

Caitlyn, your background in corporate culture is impressive and your knowledge about the same is commendable. The thing that i admire the most about you is how you analyze every situation with relevant practicality. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. I also wanted to ask you that since your work experience seems to be more inclined towards relationship management and communications, what was your thought process behind choosing MIS as a major?

    1. TC, you are correct that my experience lies more heavily in relationship management and communications but I enjoy crafting the solution more than I enjoy the relationship with the customer. You have to be able to develop a relationship with the customer to be able to truly determine what they need, but I do not currently know enough to be able to develop a complex solution start-to-finish by myself-hence MIS.
