Work Experience
I am currently 22 years old and have been working for the last seven years. Since I have been playing baseball for such a long time I only had time to work during the day in the summer. I started out working with my uncle who remodels kitchen, bathrooms, basements, etc. It was with him I learned how to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
During my experience with Five Star Home Foods I canvassed and marketed for the company. Here I gained the knowledge and confidence to talk to individuals face-to-face about the company to help persuade them to take a further interest.
In order to make extra money on the side I do instructional hitting lessons for young baseball players. I take advantage of the vast knowledge and expertise I have in the sport and help children fundamentally with their hitting and fielding mechanics. I think this experience will help me in any sales job because it helps with communication skills. Speaking to someone and helping them understand how to do something the proper way when they are in the habit of doing it differently will assist me when I am meeting or speaking with a potential customer. I believe all of my work experience will aid me in my sales career and provide additional personality traits in order to be successful.
