Prudential Global Business Technology Solutions Internship
I spent the summer of 2017 working at Prudential Financial’s Global Business Technology Solutions organization. This organization within Prudential serves as the exclusive technology services provider for all of Prudential’s U.S businesses and corporate functions. I was a part of the Network Operations team which manages the infrastructure of Prudential’s data and voice networks.
Part of my role within the team was to assist with the day to day tasks of my team. These day to day tasks included monitoring systems reports and reaching out to various teams regarding systems errors and inconsistencies. I was also responsible for managing the decommission protocol for servers that were going out of service. In addition to my daily responsibilities I took on several longer term projects. These included various initiatives to better use company resources and equipment. Throughout my time with the Network Operations team I was constantly given the opportunity to innovate a come up with creative ways to optimize team-wide processes.
