Community Platform Excellence Awards

The annual Community Platform Excellence awards are presented for excellence in the use of the Community Platform to the students and faculty of the Fox School’s Management Information Systems department. The awards are funded from the Community Platform licensing fees.

  • $500 x 2 awards for BBA MIS students
  • $500 x 1 award for MS DIM students
  • $1000 x 1 award for faculty

Students

Eligibility: 1. Currently enrolled BBA in MIS students who have an approved advanced e-portfolio, or 2. Currently enrolled MS DIM students.

Submission: To be considered, BBA MIS students should submit their e-portfolio for the ‘Excellence Award’ on the e-portfolio submission form before March 1 of each year. MS DIM students will receive information on how to submit directly from the program director. You can only win the award once.

Optional: Add a post to your e-portfolio describing the use and why it is excellent.

Criteria: Creative use of the Community Platform to achieve the goals of learning, professional achievement and development, community building, and digital branding. Important note: This is not a web-site design contest.

Faculty

Eligibility: All MIS full-time and adjunct faculty.

Submission: No submission required, the judging panel will review all the faculty sites during the review process which will start March 1 of each year.

Criteria: Creative use of the Community Platform to achieve the goals of learning, professional achievement and development, community building, and digital branding. Important note: This is not a web-site design contest.

Review process and awards

A judging panel will review each submission or site. The awards will be presented annually at the Fox IT awards reception in April of each year.
