Data Analyst Internship
I was fortunate to have an opportunity to work in Beijing, China as a Data Analysis Intern for 3CAVI Tech.
Beijing 3CAVI Tech Co. Ltd is a China based company found in 2011. Its main focus is research and development, production, and sales of new industrial and networking communication products. I worked as a data analysis intern in 3CAVI’s headquarter in Beijing this summer. My main responsibility was to assist our Data Analysts in collecting, researching, consolidating, and summarizing data generated by the testing results of various products during the R&D phase. Also, I had the opportunity to participate in the company’s panel meetings to provide inputs of possible solutions and ideas for new products upon requests of potential clients. Aside from my daily responsibilities, I also had the pleasure to attend forums and conferences hosted by 3CAVI Tech and its associated clients.
Working as a full-time intern for 3CAVI Tech Co. Ltd not only gave me the opportunity to utilize my data analysis knowledge such as MySQL, Excel, etc. onto real-life scenarios , but also granted me the experience of working for a Chinese-cultural based organization. Although it is a culture that I am extremely familiar with, I never had the opportunity to work in a professional setting prior to this summer. I experienced, even culture shocked at times, how vastly different culturally companies may be. At 3CAVI Tech Co. Ltd, teams and groups are heavily valued over individuals; team and cross-department cooperation is preached at all times. I was frequently asked to collaborate with different colleagues on projects, to which I was able to work efficiently and effectively.
