Enterprise Holdings
From June 2011 through January 2012 I participated in the Enterprise Holdings (more specifically, Enterprise Rent-A-Car) Management Internship Program. Although I am not actively working with ERAC at the current time (due to the course-load my final semester is bringing me), I have the open option to return to work with them whenever available. ERAC taught me many valuable business lessons that I will bring forward to the rest of my career. I was able to improve my sales skills and took on many additional tasks beyond my title just to learn how to do them. For example, I learned most (not all, because certain aspects are restricted to management only) of the company’s integration system (RALPH) in order to assist my managers with tasks such as “closed pends” (accounts awaiting payment from either a customer, body shop, or insurance company) and “accident reports” (for instances of damages to our rental vehicles). Although I was restricted by my “part-time” status, in regards to promotion, it was commented upon by my teammates and by my Manager that I would be a great candidate for Assistant Manager of my branch.
