Philadelphia, PA 19122

September 2016-Present

.

My role within the Career Center is entitled Assessment Ambassador. I provide assessment support, assistance with reception and promotion of the Career Center. I am responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Assessment and Technology with data entry, follow up, and analysis of Temple University Post Graduation Plans Survey. As an assessment ambassador I am responsible for collecting data in association with each student that graduates from Temple University, including undergraduate and graduate students. From the information and data collected I am then responsible for generating reports for each school within the university, generating reports to be sent to institutional research departments such as the US News, generating reports to be sent to professional associations such as NACE (National Association for Colleges and Employers), and generating reports for various other organizations such as the Princeton Review. All of these generated reports provide comparative data that allows the Career Center and Temple University make strategic decisions and obtain national rankings.

I was hired in September 2016 by Shannon Conkin as an Assessment Ambassador in Temple University’s Career Center. As an Assessment Ambassador I develop and support additional evaluations based on new and upcoming programs, organize and analyze confidential student data in Excel and Access. Data is also collected within SurveyMonkey as well as Temple’s online job posting system, OwlNetwork, and other implemented surveys. Additional data is also collected from website content and online research.

The most significant asset that is associate with my role within the team is the collection of university wide bachelors and masters degree level post graduate outcomes. This type of collection is relatively new and has been developed over the last two years. The information collected is used to provide information to the schools within the university that was not available for analyzation prior to the class of 2015.

As an Assessment Ambassador, I am required to have excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. In addition to these communication skills I need to know how to manipulate date in Microsoft Excel by utilizing Pivot Tables and Formulas.
