Through the Association for Information Systems (AIS) student professional organization, I sat down with Sayf Sharif, the Director of Analytics at Seer Interactive, for an exclusive lunch in November 2018. I was excited about this opportunity because Seer Interactive is a digital marketing agency and my work experience is complimentary. I asked Sayf questions about the future of analytics in technology, and he explained that AI and machine learning is soon going to be a significant innovation in web analytics. Sayf’s enthusiasm and expertise in analytics and digital marketing inspired me to apply for the Web Analytics Intern position at Seer for the spring; the company ended up offering me the position, to which I accepted.
