Overview

The Fox School Computer Literacy Test (FOXCLT) is designed to assess your knowledge of basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office 2007 and Windows. If you regularly use the internet or software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, you should do just fine. These are skills necessary for your business foundation courses and to successfully complete your education.

 
All incoming students, both freshmen and transfer, are required to take the FOXCLT (unless otherwise waived by your FSBM Academic Advisor during your new student orientation.)
 
 
 Students will be tested on the topics listed under Skills and Concepts. If after reviewing you feel you need some additional practice, we recommend reading over a basic computer book or work through MS Office Tutorials. If you feel that you still do not possess the skills necessary to pass the FOXCLT, you can register for the FOXCLT workshop. The FOXCLT workshop will provide students with an opportunity to practice and refine their computer literacy skills with the help of trained professionals.
 
 

The test will be interactive, you will be asked to complete task-oriented, true/false and multiple choice questions. The entire testing session takes between 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you begin, you will have 50 minutes to complete the FOXCLT.

 

To confirm a spot for the FOXCLT, please review Register to take FOXCLT. Testing sessions are throughout the fall, spring, and summers semesters and are held at at various times.  The location of the FOXCLT is Alter Hall A602 or A603; check your email to verify which room your test will be administered in.
