About

The Fox School’s Technology Committee strives for each student to attain technological proficiency; therefore has specified computer literacy skills for freshmen and transfer students.  All incoming students, both freshmen and transfer, are required to take the FOXCLT as part of the requirement for the Fox School (unless otherwise waived by your FSBM Academic Advisor during your new student orientation.)  The FOXCLT must be taken prior to enrollment in MIS 2101, and is encouraged to be taken immediately upon enrollment at the Fox School of Business. If the FOXCLT is not passed, or not taken prior to MIS 2101, students will have a registration HOLD, preventing them from registering for MIS 2101.  Successful completion of the FOXCLT is a pre requisite for MIS 2101 Information Systems in Organizations.

Myitlab is the online assessment and training software product that is being used to assess your computer application skill level. You will use myitlab to test your computer proficiency and demonstrate your skills in Microsoft Office 2007; applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows. The test will be interactive, you will be asked to complete task-oriented, true/false and multiple choice questions. Once you begin, you will have 50 minutes to complete the FOXCLT.

On the day of the test you will be given a sample test to familiarize yourself with the software. There is a practice test available that will be administered on the day of the test. You cannot access it beforehand. Once you begin the FOXCLT, you will be able to complete the tasks in any order, skip tasks, revisit tasks, and re-attempt tasks that you have attempts remaining for.  For security reasons, once you start the test, you must continue as you will be scored on your performance. You cannot back out, pause, or start over for any reason.
