Students

All Fox School of Business students are required to take the FOXCLT (unless waived by your FSBM Academic Advisor at new student orientation.)  Contact your FSBM Academic Advisor if you are unsure if you have been waived or not.

General Education Students

Freshmen Admits Fall 2008 & after, and Transfer Admits Fall 2010 & after

If you are a Gen Ed student, you are required to take the FOXCLT test prior to enrolling in MIS 2101 (unless waived your FSBM Academic Advisor at new student orientation.) Passing the test will satisfy the Fox School’s computer literacy requirement which is a prerequisite for MIS 2101, a course required for the school.

Core Students

Transfer Admits prior to Fall 2010

If you are a Core-to-Core or 45+ transfer student entering the Fox School prior to Fall 2010 and have not yet satisfied the FSBM computer requirement, you are strongly encouraged to take the FOXCLT. To be certain, all transfer students should first verify this information with their FSBM Undergraduate Advisor.

If you pass the FOXCLT, you will have satisfied the FSBM computer requirement and will be waived from taking CIS 1055. However, if you are not a Core-to-Core or 45+ transfer student, you still may need to take a ‘Science B’ Core course; you should check the undergraduate bulletin, your DARS, or with your FSBM advisor.

If you pass the FOXCLT you will not be permitted to take the CIS 0835,1055 or 0935,1095 courses. The University does not allow students who pass higher level Math or Language to go back and take lower level courses. (The same occurs if a student places higher due to exams/placements test).
