Coursework

Below are a selection of some classes I have taken at Temple.

MIS 2501 – Enterprise IT Architecture:

This course focuses on infrastructure in EITS through an MIS lens. During the course, we had to draft several flash research papers. These papers force students to quickly research and analyze a technology and determine its practicality for a business. Here are a few examples:

MIS 2502  – Data Analytics:

Data Analytics focuses on working with databases and how to extract usable data from it. MySQL and R are used in business scenarios to teach students how to utilize data.

MIS 3501 – Data-Centric Application Development

Data-Centric Application Development focuses on coding. HTML, CSS, and PHP are the primary languages covered. This class helps students learn how to build, maintain, and host a basic website. This class is an essential to understanding how websites work.

MIS 3506 – Digital Design and Innovation:

Digital Design and Innovation focuses on training students how to be bona-fide business analysts. Students work in a group for an entire semester on a prototype for a real firm. Students learn how to work in groups and set goals in order to achieve a working prototype.
