During the Summer of 2014, I interned with Protiviti, a global consulting firm that specializes in internal audit and risk advisory. I worked with a number of different systems (McKesson, AS400, Hyperion) to ensure that companies were adhering to their audit plans as well as standards set forth by the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
I was lucky enough to travel around the United States, working with key decision makers at various organizations to ensure technical compliance and consistency among key business systems, while also learning the importance of proper documentation and security controls.
