The \”Democratization of XR: Extending Reality for the Public\” event was sponsored by Comcast for Philly Tech Week 2019, it took place at PhillyCAM on the tenth of May, 2019. PhillyCAM is a non-profit designated to run Philadelphia\’s public access television network, it stands for Philadelphia Community Access Media. At this event I learned how virtual reality and augmented reality are being utilized by companies around Philadelphia, this relates to the coursework of MIS as it gives insight into how new technology is constantly being adopted and integrated by businesses and gave me a look into how VR and AR might be used in the near future.
