About Me
My name is Jennifer O’Malley and I am currently a student at Temple University. I am majoring in Management Information Systems (MIS) and working toward getting my degree in the fall semester of 2013.
I am currently the VP of IT for AIS (the Association for Information) at Temple university, the VP and co-founder of the TU French club, and one of 25 students chosen university-wide to be a Diamond Peer Tutor, tutoring for Business Statistics. I also take pride in my work and encourage you to visit my “Projects” section to view some of my work!
In the spring semester of 2012 I worked as a Global IT Intern in server management and data center operations at SAP, I also worked on a project during that time in conjunction with Merck to develop an application that can identify pills using photo-recognition technology, and then in the summer of 2012 I work at Dow Chemical as a Business IS Analyst. Check out my “Experience” section for more in-depth detail on each of these experiences.
As an MIS major there are many career paths that I am interested in such as: systems analyst, business analyst, information systems manager, or consultant. While I am very excited to follow one of these career paths, I would also be interested in getting into specific industries, such as technology or entertainment, which would allow me to combine my interests with my work. As I move on in my professional career I hope to be able to increase my standing within the company I work for, moving up the ranks and reaching a position of authority such as a Director, VP, or even CIO. Throughout my career I also hope to gain expertise in my field and continue to keep up to date with the latest technological innovations to ensure company-wide success.
