Our company will receive a net benefit of $2,625,000 when we utilize WordPress. WordPress is a cloud-based platform that enables the user to create elaborate websites much quicker than traditional developing. This increase in efficiency will enable us to make a headcount reduction which will greatly reduce costs.
Currently, we have a team of 12 developers who create systems using traditional programming languages. WordPress will enable our developers to use widgets instead of hard coding. For example, instead of having to code something like a drop down menu with our financial services, our developers could simply use the drop down menu widget. This would automatically implement the code for a drop down menu into the website. It is incredibly more efficient to develop websites using this method as opposed to coding from scratch which will lead to the headcount reduction.
The total benefit from using WordPress over the next three years will be $2,625,000 because of the reduction in salary costs of our developers. The cost to implement and maintain WordPress over the next three years will be $174,000. This will result in a net benefit of $2,451,000 over the next three years.
