Thinkful Online Info Session, Becoming a Web Developer is the title of this webinar. The activity took place Spring 2019 as a live webinar. The sponsoring organization of this activity is Thinkful. This activtity took place April 25th as a live webinar. During this information session, I learned more about the career of a web developer and what I can do with this gained knowledge. I was told about the increasing industries who are really beginning to rely on technology as a forefront for businesses. This included many useful languages that employers will be looking for, and the typical set up of various technical interviews I would face when looking for a job.
My courses have prepared me and taught me the necessary tools to become a web/software developer. This webinar went into depth about the possible career goals I can pursue after my academic career. During the event I was also taught about Thinkful\’s program that will prepare me for a career in web development. This includes mentoring programs, career services, and a track record of job placement. The activity took everything I\’ve learned so far from my coursework, and combines it with using that learned knowledge to find a career after college.
