What is NET/WORK Philly ?
NET/WORK Philly is a annual hiring event in Philadelphia where organizations show off their company culture and attendees can show off who they are. Over 50 companies will be attending where candidates looking to find more information about a particular job or a company culture can talk to current employees about opportunities and find out if they are a good fit. NET/WORK Philly also has set up Resume Critique’s by professionals in the field to help candidates with cleaning up their resume. Tech Companies range from Fortune 100 to small up and coming tech firms.
My Experience at NET/WORK Philly
I enjoyed attending the event as it learned about many small tech companies and what they do that I did not have much knowledge on before. The employees at these companies where very friendly and professional. Although many where looking for candidates with proficient knowledge in many developing languages and also with much experience they took the time to talk to me and give me advice on where I could look for in opportunities. I also connected with a gentleman from Comcast which helped enter the interview process. Overall it was a good experience connecting with many individuals in the tech field and hearing their stories.
