Work Experience

This past summer I was honored to accepted a 1 year internship with Subaru of America , Inc. I am part of the Project Management Office (PMO) team in the IT department. My everyday duties are to maintain standards for project management withing the IT department and the 11 other business departments in the organization. Organizing and executing Force Rank meetings between IT and the 11 other business to discuss statuses of current projects and rank any new. On top of my everyday tasks the main project I have been working on is the “Service Now Implementation”. Implementing an Project Portfolio Suite to replace our existing PRF process, MS Project plans, project tracking tasks, Manual Test Case Management, Resource Allocation, IT Project Budget Tracking and Project Status Reporting. A 6 month + project that willreplace Subaru’s current PRF process.

Throughout my time working for this project I have build business requirements based on current process and methods in which this process can be implemented into the out of the box software.  For any changes that are not able to be met withing the new software I needed to write use cases for this instances to change to process so it can work for the new implementation. Along with this I have later written test cases to confirm all business requirements where met and  than performed Quality & Assurance work to test the module to confirm it is ready for users to use. The next step after implementation was to train IT liaisons and IT users on how to navigate and use the module.

For the last couple months of my internship I helped the infrastructure team with the new Headquarters move to Camden NJ. For this process I helped get all computers up to date to make sure everyone was running on new generations laptops Window 10. Also helped return all old lease equipment. Helped move equipment and set up users so everyone can be ready to go by May 10 at the new Headquarters.
