Thinkful Webinar: Getting Started in Tech
On December 20th, Thinkful Philadelphia hosted a webinar 8:00-9:00 pm that provided an introduction to the different information systems career paths, as well as the different coding languages and their applicability. Thinkful\’s webinar provided insight to the difference between front-end, back-end, QA, and full-stack developers and how each one utilizes languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, HTML5, Node JS, and Phantom JS. The webinar then gave a brief introduction to Javascript and how different versions, ES6 and vanilla, have different syntax and how to define variables and call functions in each. This webinar has prompted my learning of Javascript and by the completion of my education at Temple University I hope to know Java, Python, and Ruby.
