It has over 230,000 employees worldwide providing professional services to a variety of clients including most of the Fortune 500 companies. Vault Accounting 50 has ranked PwC as the most prestigious accounting firm in the world for seven consecutive years, as well as the top firm to work for in North America for three consecutive years. I will be joining PwC post-graduation in their Advisory practice.
My Role:
There can be a lot of confusion with how rapidly technology evolves nowadays. Companies that want to stay competitive can find themselves investing in technology without a clear vision of how this impacts strategy. As a technology consultant at PwC I will be providing client services that align technology solutions with business strategy. This could involve key areas in technology such as the cloud, IOT, enterprise architecture design, and more.
How MIS Helped Me:
The MIS department has helped prepare me for my role as a technology consultant at PwC through class experiences working with real business scenarios. Particularly in 3506 Digital Solutions Studio, 3502 Application Integration and Evaluation, and 3535 Lead Global Digital Projects. These classes helped provide as close to real work experience as possible in a classroom environment. Properly identifying/defining the problem, gathering requirements, handling client interactions, and presenting solutions are just some of the skills I acquired through these key courses. These skills will be invaluable as a consultant.
