Interests and Campus Involvement
I have a plethora of interests in a multitude of different areas. One of my greatest interests is watching Broadway musicals. To date, I have seen 5 musicals including major productions such as The Lion King and Hairspray. In addition, another pass time I enjoy is watching college sports in particular college football. I’ve been spotted at numerous Temple athletic events cheering on our team.
Other interests of mine include learning to play guitar, an activity I took up recently. Also, my mother is teaching me to sew and design clothes which is a great skill to have. Finally, I am an avid news watcher. MSNBC and Dateline are programs I watch frequently to stay connected with current world events.
CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT
I have been a member of Students for Responsible Business (SRB) since the spring of 2011. The organization raises awareness of environmental and ethical problems in the business world. It also highlights ethically and sustainable companies. I have gotten the opportunity to network with representatives from these companies and become more aware of issues businesses are facing today. Last semester I participated in the Urban Garden and Farming project which took a local plot of land and cultivated it into a garden and staple in the north Philadelphia community. This semester I plan to get involved in Green By Design week and the How Green Are you project which brings sustainable companies to Temple. During the spring 2012 semester I served as a Better Business Conference committee member. For this event, I helped research companies and create print material for the conference.

Temple Gospel Ministries is a christian oriented organization that serves the Philadelphia community by participating in community service projects, putting on free concerts and other activities. As an active member since fall 2010, I have participated in many of the TGM projects. For the 2011-2012 Academic year I served as the Director of Marketing. My position involved assisting in creating flyers, conducting flyer sweeps and handling promotion. Being on the executive board was a rewarding opportunity.
