Fox Fall Connection
I attended Fox fall connection and it has more than 100 companies presented, including larger corporations like Deloitte, IBM and other technology companies. Had the opportunities to talk to many companies, I realized the importance of MIS and the demand for MIS students. It is interesting to MIS students because it gives them a big picture and potential prospect of choosing MIS. Sometimes it is more important to make the decision than purely putting the effort. By going to this event, I’m more aware of what these employers are looking for.
AIS Guest Speaking
Temple University Association for Information has been providing a variety of guest speaking series and it is tremendously beneficial. The guests are usually come with a strong background with cutting edge knowledge of the technology field. It is highly interactive during the event. For example. there was one guest speaker used word cloud during the event so he can adjust the top based on the audiences’s respond. It is strongly recommended for a MIS student to go because they can not only learn things new but also they can have opportunities to network with the guest speakers.
