Release Train Engineer Intern
Cigna is a large company whose headquarters are in Bloomfield, Connecticut. I worked in the Group Insurance department and speciality services division. I worked on a project a billing and policy project that sent out remainder letters to clients that met a medical certain criteria. For this project I accomplished creating clear communication methods, facilitating iteration meetings, and analyzing business scenarios for the project. I also created reporting applications that would help the team keep track of the project requirements. I also worked on an intern project with a team of 15 interns to create a dynamic messaging application which helps people going through trauma have a way to get help. We ended up creating a functioning application, presented it to senior leaders in Cigna headquarters, and won 2nd place. I learned a lot about what business analysts do and performed BA duties. I also learned an extensive amount of information about Agile methodologies. I utilized javascript to code the custom reporting applications.
