IT Finance Intern
Job Function
Overall my job function was to support the IT Finance and Accounting team where I was an IT Finance intern. I was responsible for many tasks like running financial performance reports, data validation and entry, analyzing and investigating payment allocation through SAP, handling purchase requisitions, payment processing for IT invoices, and vendor management.

- Created purchase requisitions for TMNAS and it’s sub-companies allowing them to successfully purchase goods
- Identified and tracked monthly accruals to record capital and operational expenses
- Processed and allocated invoices through the procure-to-pay cycle to meet payment agreement terms of over 20 assigned vendors.
This internship aligned with my MIS major because I got exposure to working in finance and accounting with an emphasis on how these two relate to information technology. I applied analysis techniques I developed in Digital Design and Innovation Studio to communicate needs and requirements to vendors. I also applied the Excel skills I developed in Data Analytics to successfully run reports illustrating the financial performance of the company and its business units.
