The speaker was helpful, it put everything we learned into a real life example.
What was must interesting was how most of the oil we are getting comes straight from sunoco’s distribution center. Many people think that some gas is better than others not knowing that it may have came from the same place.

Due to this elimination many companies are dealing directly with the consumers, who know has more say than ever before with the impact of social media. I would see how they differentiate theirselves from other online retailers. This includes their service, distribution, order processing, products offered, etc. Also by looking at their fixed and variable cost and compare it with their revenue and forecasted revenue.

No,The way that these distributors are set up, is geared to handle large orders. They wouldn’t have the man power to handle individual customer orders b/c the orders are customized and each product would need to be manually picked out. Rather than large machines picking up crates full of products.
