I would think this type of technology is a drastic sustaining innovation only because i believe it to be an extension of motion detection technology. My skepticism lies within the practicality of such a function. With touch screens you are able to use many variations, pressure, speed, multitouch, to determine response. With gesture based, you [...]

I agree this is sustaining, but question its accuracy. I think the process would only add to the competitive market of reselling cell phones. I wonder where these kiosks would gather information to create arbitrary recycle prices for deposited phones. I believe people could add the price the kiosks offer against what they may be [...]

I think anytime you turn surgery more non invasive, you always turn heads. Minimal damage while making repairs is always ideal. If testing is done to proven that this pill and its magnetically guided process is less harmful than invasive surgery, by all means will it be successful. Only question is, how accurate and controllable [...]

I think this might have some merit with consumers, but the possibility of laptop damage just by having a coffee cup attached to it is too great a risk. If they were to somehow market the product with some way of dummy proofing the cup itself, it may survive. The market for drinking coffee while [...]

I believe this would be an effect innovation since people are always trying to compare prices. Adding another method to this process which is inexpensive and convenient would surely gain attention. I believe for this type of innovation to live up to its full potential it must be developed to incorporate many more search venues.

To put a realism mechanism on a device from a manufacturer not known for graphics, is not ideal. I agree with stacy that xbox and playstation would have a practical use for 3D graphics capabilities, not nintendo. Furthermore, what real benefit is 3D gaming on a handheld device of the DS’s size? the marginal benefit [...]

Hiren Sheth commented on the blog post New Touch Screen Technology 2 years, 7 months ago
I personally feel as if this type of technology will overshoot consumers. Yes, on the outside it seems to be intuitive and easy to use, but practically it doesnt really make much of a difference. Current touch sensitive technologies already suffice in terms of vibration touch and sensitivity to movements across a touch screen. Though [...]
