Check Your Grades and Make Sure You’ve Submitted Everything!
I have posted all grades to the Community Site through Assignment 9. Check your grades to make sure there are no inconsistencies and that I have a score for everything you’ve submitted.
In order to not receive the letter grade late penalty for each missing assignment, everything must be submitted by Friday, December 9 at 5:00 PM. There will be no exceptions. After that, for each missing assignment:
- You will receive a zero for that assignment!
- Your final course grade will be reduced by 10 points!

Change in Due Date for Assignment 9 – Association Rules/Market Basket Analysis
I’m moving the due date of our last homework assignment, Assignment 9 (Association Rules/Market Basket Analysis), to Friday, December 2, 2011.
Office Hour Change on November 28, 2011
I have to modify my office hours on Monday, November 28.
Instead of my usual office hours, I’ll be holding office hours from 10:00 – 12:00. If you need some last minute help on the SAS Clustering Assignment, feel free to stop by.

- Name and describe a business question that you could answer using associate rules (market basket analysis). What data would you collect to perform the analysis? Don’t use one we’ve covered in class.
- Your Uncle Bob’s store sells food, magazines, cleaning supplies, and toys. Bob knows nothing about technology, but he knows you do! He’s asked you for help, but you want to keep it simple for him. Choose the technique that you think will most help him (decision trees, clustering, or association rules) and explain to your Uncle Bob how it can help his business.
