Data Centric Application Development

Exercises

MIS3501 Exercises are to be completed (or at least begun) by students in the class. Students who are unable to complete an exercise in class may wish to complete the exercise on their own, outside of class.

Exercises are intended to help the student learn, and students should do them. They are not, however, monitored or tracked. They are (usually) not a contributor to the student’s participation grade.

When applicable, exercises should be uploaded to the class server on or about the date of the corresponding class. The upload process is an important skill for students to master.

    • Pang’s government spending research wins multiple awards March 1, 2019
Min-Seok Pang doesn’t follow sports.  “I’m a news junkie, and politics is like my sport,” said the Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at the Fox Business School. So back in 2013, when late-night TV hosts were mocking the botched rollout of HealthCare.gov, the website integral to the Affordable Care Act, Pang stayed on top […]
    • New faculty bring expertise in cybersecurity and innovation November 25, 2018
Associate Professor Anthony Vance said the most common cybersecurity mistake people make is password reuse. To minimize the threat of a data breach, every online account password must be unique. All that memorization? Impossible. “If you try to remember all the passwords in your head, they’ll be weak. You shouldn’t even try,” said Vance, who […]
