There is a fine line when it comes to social media and sometimes that line can be very hard to see. Ethical decisions in the world of Facebook and Twitter can sometimes be a little hazy and may not seem wrong right off the bat. In an article written by Erik Sherman, it discusses how the military plans on implementing software where 50 people control 10 fake persona’s each to inject into the world of social media. They don’t exactly say what they hope to accomplish with this new software but some of theĀ repercussionsĀ are quite obvious. While I am sure that many good things could come from this new initiative I am also sure that many bad things would as well. People don’t want to feel like the government is ‘keeping tabs’ on them . To quote a great movie
“People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.”

I really think that this is a bad idea and that the government should find another way to accomplish whatever it is that they are trying to accomplish. I think people will be outraged when they find out the scale of this operation. Like I said, there is a fine line…
