During our first class we had to say a random fact about

ourselves and mine was that I am an Owl Ambassador for Temple University (which is just a fancy way of saying ‘tour guide’). I got the job my Sophomore year and absolutely love it! The training was EXTREMELY strenuous (we were given a binder and told to memorize everything in it) but overall it’s really awesome to be able to show hundreds of people why Temple rocks.

While giving tours is a main aspect of our job, there are actually a lot of other things that we do. If we aren’t giving tours we are generally stationed at the front desk of Undergraduate Admissions in Conwell Hall to assist prospective students with their applications and other miscellaneous queries.

When not giving tours or in Conwell, we are in the Welcome Center of the Tech Center. In the Welcome Center we greet and register families for tours, answer any questions they may have, and handwrite thank you notes to every person who visits.

Being an Owl Ambassador has been a great experience being able to show the real side of Temple which is often forgotten.  (Plus I get to work with some of my best friends!)
