Premier Diagnostic Inc., was a company I worked for in high school that I learned a lot about. It had many characteristics of a decentralized organization and also a centralized organization. Premier Diagnostic Inc. had a central office where the CEO work, and I also work, where supplies where sent out and general meeting to discuss procedure where held, and collection was managed. This is how Premier Diagnostic Inc. was centralized with one main location headquarters. Premier Diagnostic Inc. also had may ultra sound operators that worked independently by choosing their own work hours and picking their location and making their own appointments, these ultrasound operators had to adhere to the general rules set by the CEO, otherwise they were free to come and go. The ultrasound operators are an example of how the company is decentralized and they functioned like starfish arms as if they left the main body they could survive but staying attached has more benefits. Premier Diagnostic Inc. is in my opinion a hybrid, because being both centralized and decentralized is critical to their business plan. If the ultrasound operators did not have their free dome they could just separate and then the main office would be meaningless and the separated operators who lack the means to fun their operations more cost effectively.
