Idea #1: Have More than one blog to interconnect
Description: Have multiple blogs that provide basically the same information and have them all connect and call upon each other. This mean having a blogger, tumblr, wordpress, and other blog sites that can all cover the same information and similar articles and have them become a network connecting different sectors of the internet with one specific topic.
Rationale: Some possible viewers use only one website, so using multiple websites or blog provider allows you to reach a lot more people. You would not use to much work as you would re-use or redo your own work and have it reach different audience. You also have them connect so they generate each other traffic. Each website would cover a different aspect of your subject and so for a user to get the full content they must visit all the blogs.
Objective: The idea is for people to jump from one blog outlet to another as to receive the full experience or benefit. This means everything is connected and reference the other blogs repeatedly. The connection will in itself provide more traffic than just one outlet as one portal might interest another and so forth. Loyal follower will also visit all the blogs and generate traffic for all the blogs simultaneously.
Measurement: You will know if it works if all the blog’s traffic increase at the same rate, meaning one a person visits one blog they will be directed to another and then another. You can also see a network develop and other bloggers or users might want to join if the network of blogs is successful enough. “Two blogs is better than One.”
Idea #: Post a lot of Comments on other blogs with links to your own blog
Description: Search around to other blogs that topics are similar to your own and comment frequently and include link to your own blog everywhere. Pick blogs that are already popular and try to inject yourself into the formula of that blog as to attract some of their users. You can also visit blogs that are not easily relatable to your topic, and when you comment explain the connection.
Rationale: This will allow you to reach people that would not otherwise visit your blog. Use this as an opportunity to make blogging friends that you can support and can support you. Going into topic that are different from your own and making connections is what blogging is about and putting your ideas out there to the world. It is like piggybacking of others success. Make sure it is tasteful and the blogger allows you to do it.
Objective: To reach other users who visit the popular blogs and to facilitate inter-blog relationships. Growth of your blog will depend on reaching others and users read comments, and when they see your blog they will be interested and visit. You catch the people reading comments who might want more or something different, this is where you can catch users. Also the relationships with the blog can be used to promote and future ventures. You must also be open to others using your comments to promote.
