This is a presentation that I created through powerpoint that is upload to slideshare. It consist of all the top places I want to visit in the world.

About a week ago, I have written a blog post about creating a fashion photography slideshare. Not so long after uploading that powerpoint presentation to slideshare.com, their editorial team have send me an e-mail claiming that my slideshare have been feature in their “Fashion and Beauty” spotlight. This spotlight is a huge accomplishment for anyone that want to get an increase traffic to their presentation on slideshare. It feature top three presentation for a short amount of time before changing it.

This allow people to click on a category that interest them. When they click on that category their presentation will be the first to be view. I believe I got that spotlight because my presentation is interesting. It consists of history about fashion photography and appealing pictures to go along with the history. Perhaps, the design of the powerpoint may play a role as well. If you have simple and attracting slideshow people will tend to scroll to the very end and read everything.

Remember, if you want your content to be share by others people make it interesting. Add a picture here or there for visually appealing site. This also can be brought over to blog post, usually blog post with pictures will be more interesting to read than one with plain text.

This is a slide that I have created through SlideShare.com which I have set up an account earlier this year. It’s fairly simple to use, all I did was created a powerpoint presentation and uplaod it to the website. After, I upload it, I got the code to embedded into my blog. This slide showcase the basic background on fashion photography along with some beautiful photos.

How:

[1] Go to your dashboard

[2] At the left sidebar, click on pluggins

[3] There will be a list of 25 pluggins, you go down the list and “activate” whichever you want

[4] If you go all the way to the top of the pluggins page, it will let you know how many pluggins you have active and how many are inactive.

Why:

[1] Google Calendar: I want to mainly use this calendar to update various events that are happening within Philly that students may find of interest. It can be anything from social events to networking events.

[2] SlideShare: Since there are some tasks within this quest that will require me to create slide show of some sort. I feel this will be better use for the reader’s viewing experience, rather than click to a link to get to the slide show. It would be better to have the slide show embed within the blog post.

[3] Viper’s Video Quicktags: This is also for the same reason as SlideShare. At this very moment, I am experience with the process of putting a video together. From the conception to the post production, I am self teaching myself. Hopefully, I can have something up by the end of this semester, if time allow. By going back and re-reading some of my post, I realized that I have pictures in too many of them. Sometimes, I would like to diversify ways in responding to weekly discussion.
