Tattoos are a type of art, in my opinion. They represent you as a person and how you choose to express yourself. This is portrayed through any medium of art also.
An interesting type of tattoos that I’ve seen has been tattoos of famous works of art. Not only are these tattoos beautifully done, but the details in them reflect the original piece of art so well. My favorite is Starry Night. While I could never go so far as to get this tattooed on myself, I’ll just stick with hanging a print in my room, people that have gotten this tattooed have done so in many forms. Whether it’s a full sleeve, or a back piece, Starry Night is still as beautiful as it was origionally intended to be.
While Starry Night is my favorite, other famous pieces have been beautifully tattooed as well. Some of them can be seen below:
Would you ever get a tattoo of a famous piece of art, or would it scare you to much that it wouldn’t come out as beautiful as the original?
