A Classic

I’m going to end the semester with a classic dish: the meatloaf. Everyone has their different version of this recipe which is what makes it so interesting because you can literally throw just about whatever you want in there. Well I wouldn’t go that far, but you get the picture.  I know my mom makes her meatloaf completely different than this, but I went with Krafts’ Parmesan Meatloaf.  I’m glad I did because it actually turned out better than hers. Believe me, the picture is deceiving. Although I’m not sure anyone can make a picture of meatloaf look good. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup  spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup  plus 2 Tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 cup chopped onion
1   egg, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

 

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Mix meat, 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce, bread crumbs, 1/4 cups cheese, onion, egg and Italian seasoning
3. Shape the meat into a loaf and top with remaing 1cup sauce and cheese
4. Bake 40 to 45 minutes
