So I had the opportunity to attend the IT awards on Tuesday, April 24th at Temple University, Mitten Hall. Even though the event wasn’t focused on “smartphones” I found it interesting that almost everyone at the event at the event had their smartphone out and were instagraming, tweeting or facebooking. It comes to show just how powerful smartphones have become and was able to be live for everyone around the world even though they weren’t there.
Besides the “smartphone” aspect of the event, I was able to net work and hear from great speakers. Out of all the great speakers that shared their thoughts at the event, I found Adrian Gardner, from NASA, to be very compelling. He shared his thoughts on how technology is changing the world and that we as the youth play a big role in that transformation.
overall the event was a success, and I look forward to attending the event next year. Below were some photos I took at the awards ceremony with my “smartphone.”
I saw this video of the new Blackberry 10 model that will be released later this year. In my opinion, it looks very similar to the iPhone 4/4s. But the OS looks awesome. What do you think?
Ran across this interesting info-graphic about smartphone. One thing I would probably questions would be the “2.7″ hours a day-I would say people spend more time than that!
