Media Tech Intern – Corporate Systems

During the summer of 2016, I had the opportunity to work in Operations and Technical Support (O&TS) for NBCUniversal as a Media Tech Intern in the NBC Technology Center located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. I helped convert all of NBCU’s transaction data from SAP BPC 7.5 on Oracle databases to SAP BPC 10.0 on HANA databases. I also collaborated with a team of fellow interns to build a functioning chatbot for Facebook Messenger for NBCUniversal to utilize for promotional and customer serivce purposes.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

During my sophomore year, I worked as an undergraduate research assistant for the Global Center for Big Data in Mobile Analytics at the Fox School of Business. In this position, I analyzed company case studies to gain insight into the use of big data and mobile analytics. I researched emerging trends, including geo-social targeting, in-app advertising, and social customer relationship management, and presented my findings to distinguished business professors, such as those from Columbia, Harvard, MIT, and Yale.

Since 2011, my freshman year of high school, I have worked at Wegmans Food Markets. Originally hired as a cashier, I eventually became one of the Warrington Wegmans’ knowledge based service sellers. In this role, I had to assist departments in driving sales by proactively acknowledging customers, share my knowledge and answer questions about highlighted products in a friendly manner, make product/service recommendations to customers and accommodate their special requests, and offer them with any assistance. My time as a knowledge based service seller at Wegmans has allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills and handle some very diffcult situations, such as handling aggrivated customers in a kind and professional manner.
