I am a huge sports fan, specifically basketball and football. I have lived in the Philadelphia area for most of my life, so I religiously follow the Eagles and 76ers. Other than sports, I am an avid reader. My favorite book is the Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X and Alex Haley. Right now, I am reading Michelle Obama’s autobiography, Becoming.
Most of my life I wanted to do something with science. If you ever watched the show Dexter, I wanted to be just like Dexter Manning, a blood splatter analyst. Now, since I am in MIS, I am back to ground zero. I do not know what I specifically want to do, but what I do know is that I do not want to be stuck on my computer all day. I want to find a job that always challenges me but allow changes. That is why I want to go into project management or business analysis. I get to always work with different clients and I get to work on multiple projects.
I would like to work in a company that is not as known in the industry. That way, I can grow, and help the company itself grow. But, nonetheless, culture is my number one aspect to look for. Culture, in my opinion, is what causes a company to be fun and interesting, and that is what I am looking for in a company.
