My experience includes working as an Academic Peer Advisor for the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
Becoming a Peer Advisor is a very rewarding experience. Through this position, I’ve expanded my knowledge and exposure of organizational skills, time management, phone etiquette, and most importantly, team work. This position has prepared me for any impromptu situation that may arise due to each shift having different situations.
One of my primary responsibilities includes working on a team that serves over 40 students each day in the Advising Office. I help assist students that come into the office with any academic questions or concerns. I also help answer questions to both students and parents through phone or email, help advisors with their appointment scheduling, complete filing work, and execute other basic office responsibilities.
