Launch Intern

This summer, I had the privilege of interning with EY for their Launch Internship in their Philadelphia Office. This internship is a rotational program that provided me experience through EY’s three service lines: Tax, Assurance, and Advisory.
During the internship, I spent two weeks within each service line and worked on multiple engagements with my roll and tasks varying for each service line. During my Advisory rotation, I worked on SOX Compliance and conducted several tests examining the different controls of a company. I was responsible for testing these controls and creating the proper work papers for each control. Throughout the internship, I also created multiple walk-throughs of controls, rolled forward documents from previous years for current use, worked on multiple State and Federal Returns for different OPCO companies, and assembled T-Letters and Returns.
While I loved the opportunity to work on different engagements and immerse myself in the company’s culture, my favorite part of the internship was the different community service opportunities done throughout my internship. One in particular that sticks out is the volunteering I did for MANNA, the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance. For this event, every Launch intern was sent to MANNA’s office to work on the packaging and assembly of medically tailored food prepped meals that would be donated to clients with different dietary restrictions. Being able to make even the slightest difference through such a worthy cause reaffirmed that I was interning for the right company with the right values.
I am set to intern with EY this summer for their Risk Advisory Internship.
