College Student Tech SR at Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin is an American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies company with worldwide interests. It was formed by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta in March 1995. It is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, in the Washington, DC, area. Lockheed Martin employs 116,000 people worldwide. Marillyn Hewson is the current President and Chief Executive Officer.

Over the summer of 2015, I worked within the Engineering and Technology segment of Lockheed’s Information Systems and Global Solutions division. Here I worked on the development and documentation of a web-based application, completed the “EXCITE- Intro to Intelligence Driven Defense” course, completed the “Certified Ethical Hacker” course in preparation for the CEH exam, designed a high level project roadmap, and helped to automate simple business processes.

During my time at Lockheed Martin, I worked with technologies such as MySQL, Microsoft Excel and Publisher, Ubuntu Linux, and Tableau. I had the privilege of being cross-trained and studied cyber security concepts such as defensible architectures, incident response, and forensic analysis.
