Amazon Ecosystem
Our Amazon developer team has created a new product idea called the Kiddie Kindle which is a Kindle that is targeted towards younger children. This new product line will be focused on helping children learn through media content, apps, games, books, and lesson plans that are subject based. This new product line has large potential demand and is financially valuable to create new revenue streams for our company through hardware and content sales.
Amazon can implement a new product line for the Kindle that is targeted at young children, called Kiddie Kindle. This new product would have features specifically aimed at young children, for example water proof, strengthened durability, scratch resistant screens, and finally themed cases such as sports, super heroes, or dolls. Amazon could create apps, learning plans, and media content for the Kindle, targeted to help children learn through books, videos, and subject lessons for example math, language, science, and history. Schools would also be able to set up curriculums for kids who are home schooled or even to do homework for public schools.
The Kiddie Kindle will provide multiple revenue streams for the company that will be very profitable. The first revenue source would come from sales of the Kiddie Kindle itself and accessories such as cases. The second revenue source would be from sales of apps, media content, and lesson plans that consumers would buy off the Amazon store for the Kiddie Kindle. The last source of revenue would come from developers for the cost of having their apps in the Amazon store and schools could pay to have their curriculums available through the Amazon store for students. The major costs for this new product would be the production costs, promotional costs, and possibly increased customer services to help with the new product line.
