Thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Pha Thach. I’m a transfer student and currently a junior at Fox School of Business at Temple University and majoring in Accounting. I was born and raised in Vietnam until I am 20 when I migrated to the US just before the the 9/11 attack in NY. In my home town, I used to think that I would never have the opportunity to go to college but luckily my father was kind enough in responding to get me to go to the US and now I have that opportunity to fulfill my dreams. The dreams of getting a college degree and landing a good job as an accountant. Everyone will be so proud of me because in a family of five siblings, I am the only one who goes to college.
I always enjoy learning arithmetic, how it behave, and problem solving. Accounting is a language of business that involves in problem solving and a lot of understanding of market opportunity. Since I am so good at problem solving, I always want to become an accountant since I landed on the US soil. In addition, accounting helps me to train myself to stay focus on anything I put myself into. My parents used to tell me that you should become a doctor but I tell them that “mom, dad! this is America, I have to become what I want to be and that is to become an accountant.”
In this e-portfolio, you will find pages about my education, experience, skills, and many other things you may want to know about me. Also, I have my resume uploaded that may want to look at and if you want to contact me, please refer to my contact me page. Once again, thanks for visiting my blog –Pha.
